What is Newsong?

Newsong Community Church is a Christ-centered gathering of believers focused on reaching the communities around us. The Church is not a building or an organization, it is followers of Christ coming together to do His work, and that's exactly what we are about!

 

Why Choose Newsong?

Newsong is new and very small (for now!) and everybody plays a crucial role. If you come to Newsong, you are coming to get involved. We believe that every follower of Christ is called to ministry, whether that be overseas missions or sharing the Gospel at your job. We aim to equip Christ-followers for doing the work of the Lord, and even give them opportunities to serve!

 

What does Newsong mean?

Our name comes from Psalm 40

I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock, 
making my steps secure.
He put a NEW SONG in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.

Our God is a God of mercy and grace. Romans 5:8 says that while we were STILL SINNERS Christ died for us! That means we don't have to be perfect. In fact, we CAN'T be perfect. It is the Lord who rescues us from the miry bog and puts a NEW SONG in our mouths!

What Does Newsong Believe?
